As a millennial, I believe everyone of every generation in our community deserves to have their voice heard.

A Georgia Resident of almost 10 years, and a Stone Mountaineer of almost 4 years, I've come to love the richness and diversity of our community. Here is a snippet to help you get to know Cordero:

  • I have served as a Dekalb County Court Appointed Special Advocate for over 3 years. My role is to ensure that every child I have the honor of assisting remaining in the custody of the Georgia Dept. of Family and Child Services has their needs met until they find their forever-family.

  • I have almost 20 years of banking experience. Whether serving in a management capacity or individual contribution side, I've been fortunate to oversee multiple budgets and personnel to ensure finances are in balance and exceed profit goals to return funds to stakeholders. I have also had the opportunity of going into our community to educate others about the banking system and helping them meet their needs--like purchasing their first home.

  • I believe in a formidable education. As a graduate of the University of California System, I not only served in our student government and cultural coalitions, but also had the privilege of teaching in South America during my college years. I have the utmost respect for the teachers in our community, and believe that their job is priceless. Teaching our own strengthens our community for the future.

  • I embody our diverse tradition of being a U.S. American: Black, Latino, and Rainbow-Associated.  Oh, and I love the arts!
